I've been a Badgleys Family Garage customer for 45 years and during that time they have serviced 10 different cars for me and my family. I'm very impressed with Badgley's Garage. I tried replacing the battery myself, but the car still needed a jump. They diagnosed the real problem-a bad starter-in no time and repaired right away. Exellent communication, fast service and fair pricing. I'll definitely return for future work.

Went to these guys years ago because my car was having engine misfires. Was an MSU student at the time, and didn’t have any time or tools to check out the car myself so I took it to Badgley’s because they had good reviews and the guys seemed trustworthy. After about 1k worth of repairs and having to take the car back to them at least once I thought they had finally fixed the issue. One week went by, and the issue was back. So fed up with the BS, I went to the local auto supply store and had one of the guys there use their scan tool on my car. The code showed cylinder 4 misfire. I replaced the plug and coil and this solved the issue. You have to be kidding me. I refuse to believe these people are so dumb they aren’t able to figure out a spark plug needed to be changed so I believe they are just very dishonest and looking to scam naive college kids. Please go elsewhere.

I chose Badgleys Garage because of their high reviews. Went to have my breaks looked at. They had it checked out within an hour and had parts delivered/breaks repaired within 3 hrs. They provide pictures of what is wrong so you know they’re being truthful. Great communication. As a young woman, I believe Badgleys provides honest and commendable service.

My '69 Corvette transmission (4-speed) was in need of some TLC for some leaks which I had noticed for many years. I finally entrusted the rebuild work to Badgley's, and I am glad I did. On the way home from the shop I was grinning from ear to ear; the shifter felt brand new! It has been a couple of weeks now, and when I look under the car: no leaks or drips on the garage floor--excellent! They also referred me to a top-notch contractor to have my cracked windshield replaced, which went very smoothly. I will continue to trust Badgley's for any needed work on my 'Vette. They are competent, knowledgeable, and informative. We are lucky to have such a qualified shop in the Lansing area. Thanks Badgley's

I recently took my car into Bagley's garage with an expensive problem that I was going to need to go through a warranty company for. Anybody who's ever dealt with one of those third party warranty companies knows exactly what a pain it is. Calvin at badgley's took point on this. His knowledge of engines and diagnosis is probably the best I've ever seen. He's also great at breaking things down into layman's terms. He dealt with the warranty company, and save me a lot of pain or hassle. He answered every question I had along the way. No matter what happened the staff at badgley's was supportive and in the end they definitely did me a solid.

Typically, I have had neutral or bad experiences with mechanics. Badgley's was the first time I was happy after service. Although it might be slightly more money than a normal shop, it's worth it. My car was fixed properly and the work was done super fast. Communication was clear about everything.

Took my car to Badgley’s Garage (1st mistake). Initial story I got was that I had 1 cylinder misfiring and that it was likely a bad spark plug and coil. They recommended all new spark plugs and one new coil. So I authorized the repair. After the $810 repair, they told me that mysteriously only half the pistons were firing now. Story then was that there was sludge in the engine. They recommended putting in an additive with the oil and having me drive it for 1000 miles. Then bring it back for an engine flush. I trusted them so I said let's do it (2nd mistake). After picking up my jeep with nearly half the power I dropped it off with, I called them and said I didn't feel comfortable driving the car with such little power. They reassured me that I needed to drive it for 1000 miles. Next day the car overheated and left me stranded on the side of the road. Had it towed back to Badgley's (3rd mistake) only to be charged another $110 and my V8 hemi was still a V4. When I picked it up the second time, they told me the car would "likely have to go to the dealer". It became clear to me that at no point did they have any idea what was going on with the car and yet felt comfortable charging me $920 in unnecessary repairs. I gave them every opportunity, listened to all of their instructions and what did I get in return? $910 more in student debt and half an engine. 0 stars.

Great, great guys that work here. They’ve fixed a botched repair done by another mechanic on my car, and on another occasion, even though they weren’t able to take my car in, one man took the time to come up with a few possible causes and a temporary fix for my issue. I’ll absolutely continue to go to them in the future.

My car started to smoke and overheat...I called them 30 mins before close..they were able to get me in. By 9am the next morning they had diagnosed my car and had a quote. By 2pm it was finished and ready to go. Price was reasonable...considering fast next day service and after hour drop off. Very straight to the grind and honest about the work. Looking forward to making them my mechanic while in the Lansing area.

My Ford Explorer was having serious issues while I was moving my son into MSU. I had an 11 hour trip home ahead of me and needed a fix fast. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a few hours. All for a very reasonable price. It ran great on the home and I will forever be grateful for their help in such a timely and efficient manner. Highly recommend!

I took my car to Badgley's because it was experiencing electrical problems. They diagnosed it needing a new computer but they did not have the equipment that my car required to install it. They referred me to another quality mechanic who did and did not charge me for the time because they weren't able to help. I am extremely impressed by the professionalism and honesty shown by Badgley's. I can't speak to the quality of repairs since they weren't able to do them, but I can tell you that you will be treated fairly if you go there which is half the battle when trying to find a good mechanic.

I had a bad oil leak that the dealership said would be an $800 repair. Calvin actually took the time to find the leak and it was less drastic than what the dealership's "inspection" revealed. He fixed it and I was on the road for only $100. Thank you very much Calvin!

I was mechanic back in the day. I can tell you these guys know how to wrench! Their prices are below what dealers charge. They did a complete update to our News Truck which has 100,000 miles on it: brakes, tune-up, all fluids flushed and topped off.

I took my car in after my check engine light came on coding for radiator and coolant problems. Turns out when I took my car to Valvoline off Grand River they leaned on my radiator and cracked it. Valvoline told me that I might smell something sweet but that’s just the oil burning off (red flag should have gone off right there), but it turns out that the pressure in my radiator was building and I was smelling coolant. Calvin and Alec at Badgeley’s we’re able to diagnose the problem and replace the radiator in a day. I cannot recommend them enough, and they will see repeat service from me.

I don't know how good they are at fixing American cars, but they certainly don't have much experience with Japanese cars. They always gave me the excuse of how unique my car's system was. They charged me $120 for the test and they didn't find anything wrong. They wanted to charge me more money and I turned them down. Maybe based on the good reviews, they are very good at American cars. But don't bring foreign cars there. They may charge you for an inspection and not know what went wrong. You should give up the second time they ask you for money.

My son's car broke down at MSU. Called a number of shops. Badgley was honest on the phone about their current schedule. They not only assessed it quicker then expected, but gave us an approach that took into consideration the age of the car and my son is a poor student.

Simply the best. They have never treated me differently as a woman and are always respectful and kind. They are super patient as I describe the odd little noises my car makes. This is an affordable family owned shop who has done right by us for years. They are honest and don't try to nickel and dime you. They don't cheap out on parts and are always willing to take the time to explain the issues. They want your car to run it's best and not just hobble on by. I highly recommend them for a look-over when buying a used vehicle. It is well work the small fee to avoid $$$$ in repairs.

Calvin and Alec were fast, honest, and even kind! I had a disastrous encounter with a mobile mechanic who left me in the lurch, and these guys were very straightforward about what would need to be done to finish the job, then went ahead and did it ALL in just a day, and for less than originally estimated. Would recommend without reservation - real upstanding people who know their stuff!

I see why they are successful. My daughter's car had ignition issues. She's at MSU I'm back home. They really could have bent me over a barrel but DID NOT! They found the issue and fixed it with no parts and 1 hour labor. I was expecting to pay much more and would have without question. Truly exceptional people that were a pleasure to work with.

Needing some repairs for your 4 wheeled machine? These guys know their stuff (thanks to inheriting the shop from their dad/ grandfather) and run a great shop. They've done a lot of good work for our family. Loaded with Lansing auto (Oldsmobile) history all around, even visiting is a great experience. Hard to say that about any other auto repair shop that I know of.

I took my 2015 Chevy Equinox in for brakes and 90,000 maintenance. They did a great job as always. Have done business with them since early 70's when their dad and mom ran the shop. They even do my yearly oil change on my slingshot in the pictures. Great guys all around.
